What is your evaluation method?Evaluation indicators are items tuned for Japanese companies while complying with international frameworks such as IIRC, GRI, SASB and SDG Compass. In addition, the evaluation method uses machine learning modeling to introduce different weights for each industry and theme, and adjusts and processes them so that they can be compared with other industries and other companies. In addition, evaluation indicators and evaluation methods will be continuously updated in a timely manner in response to changes in market conditions and social conditions. Sustainability Score Calculation Procedure 1. Since non-financial indicators are oriented differently, they are adjusted. (e.g., smaller CO2 emissions are preferable, larger waste recycling rate is preferable) 2. Convert each non-financial indicator into a ratio to a financial indicator according to its nature to allow for inter-company comparisons regardless of the size of the business. (e.g., CO2 emissions → CO2 emissions per unit of sales) 3. For each indicator, we calculated the deviation within the industry (using the GICS 69 industry classification). 4.We determined the weight of each non-financial indicator according to the disclosure rate within the industry, the common usage ratio of various sustainability frameworks (GRI, SASB, etc.) and ESG evaluation organizations, and derived each materiality score by weighted average. 5. Sustainability scores are derived by determining the weight of materiality scores for each industry based on various sustainability frameworks and the materiality maps of ESG evaluation organizations. For example, energy and manufacturing industries place more emphasis on environment-related indicators, while industries with strict global regulations, such as finance and healthcare, place more emphasis on governance-related indicators. SDG Score Calculation Procedure 1. 1-3 are the same as for the Sustainability Score. 2. The weight of each non-financial indicator is determined according to the disclosure rate within the industry and the common usage ratio of various sustainability frameworks (GRI, SASB, etc.) and ESG evaluation organizations, and each 17 SDG target score is derived. 3. Sustainability scores are calculated using the same weights for all 17 SDG target scores
